2024 Calendar Photo Contest
Term:
Bank of Prairie du Sac’s Scenes of Sauk Prairie 2023 Photo Contest begins August 18, 2023, at 12:00 PM Noon, and ends October 9, 2023, at 12:00 PM Noon Central Standard Time. By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that he or she is 18 years old or older. No purchase is necessary.
Who may enter:
The contest is open to amateur and professional photographers who are 18 years old or older who live in South Central Wisconsin (Sauk Prairie and surrounding areas). Bank of Prairie du Sac will determine winners’ eligibility in its sole discretion. It is open to both customers and non-customers, as well as employees. No purchase is necessary to enter.
What to enter:
Photos that feature the Sauk Prairie area’s buildings, landscape, features, and scenery. If photos contain people, all people should be unrecognizable in the photo. Photos showing identifiable people will not be accepted. Photos from any time period are welcome. Entrants are limited to 3 photo entries each.
What not to enter:
Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible. Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by Bank of Prairie du Sac in its sole discretion, are ineligible for this contest. Duplicate entries from previous Scenes of Sauk Prairie photo contests will not be accepted.
How to enter:
Please submit up to 3 photographs and all requested information online through the online form linked from Bank of Prairie du Sac’s Scenes of Sauk Prairie webpage. Photo must be in .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format, at least 3,375 pixels wide and 2,625 pixels tall and no larger than 10 MB. You must complete a separate form for each photo submitted.
If more than 3 photographs are submitted, you will be contacted to select the 3 photographs you would like to enter. If no response is received, Bank of Prairie du Sac will select 3 photos out of your submissions and disqualify the excess entries.
We do not accept photographs submitted through the mail. High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible. Bank of Prairie du Sac reserves the right to disqualify incomplete entries and/or contestants who are unable to submit a high-resolution photograph at least 3,375 pixels wide and 2,625 pixels tall.
You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, you grant Bank of Prairie du Sac a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any Bank of Prairie du Sac purpose. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. Bank of Prairie du Sac will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
Entry deadline:
The contest begins on August 18, 2023, at 12:00 PM Central Standard Time. All entries must be received by 12:00 PM Central Standard Time on September 19, 2023.
Voting:
Voting will begin on September 25, 2023, at approximately 3:00 PM Central Standard Time. All votes must be received by the end of the voting period on October 9, 2023, at 12:00 PM Central Standard Time. Please submit all votes online through the photo album on Bank of Prairie du Sac’s Facebook page. Liking the photo will be equal to 1 vote, sharing the photo will be equal to 5 votes. Likes and shares must show on the original posted photo in order to be valid. We do not accept votes submitted through any other method. No purchase is necessary to vote. Votes will be worth 50% of the determination of the winners.
Winners:
Bank of Prairie du Sac will select 12 winners based 50% on online votes and 50% on an internal voting committee. The 12 photographs that receive the highest combined voting score will be featured in the 2024 Bank of Prairie du Sac calendar, available for free to the public (quantities are limited). Bank of Prairie du Sac will notify the winners via the contact information provided at the time of entry. Please do not contact us about the status of entries or judging.
Prizes:
Winners will receive a $50 Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificate for each winning photo, photographer credit for their photographs in the 2024 Bank of Prairie du Sac calendar, and up to 5 free copies of the calendar.
Privacy:
Contact information submitted to Bank of Prairie du Sac will only be used for the purpose of contacting the winners. It will not be used for any other marketing or advertising purposes.
Conditions of Entry:
All entrants hold Bank of Prairie du Sac and their respective employees and associates harmless from and against all claims of any nature arising in connection with entrant’s participation in the contest and acceptance or use of a prize. Bank of Prairie du Sac is not liable for any costs, damages, injuries, or other claims incurred as a result of entrants’ participation in the contest. Bank of Prairie du Sac is not responsible for incomplete or misdirected entries, technical or network malfunctions or failures, or causes beyond their control. Entrants are solely responsible for their entries. Entrants may not submit materials that introduce any software viruses, worms or other programs designed to damage software, hardware or telecommunications equipment or are off-topic, political, contain advertising, nudity, personal attacks or expletives, or is otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, libelous, obscene, false, sexually explicit, or that infringes on the rights of any third party.
The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Bank of Prairie du Sac reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the winners, Bank of Prairie du Sac reserves the right to award or not award the prizes in its sole discretion. Bank of Prairie du Sac reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to: inhibit the enjoyment of others; tamper with the competition; violate these rules or other applicable law or regulation; infringe on the rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Decisions of Bank of Prairie du Sac are final and binding.
The contest is not endorsed, sponsored or administered by Facebook, nor is Facebook associated with the contest. Facebook has no responsibility to entrants or participants.
