Step 2: Switch Your Direct Deposits & Automatic Payments
Notify the companies handling your automatic deposits and withdrawals of the change. You may need to send a voided check and a change form from our Switch Kit to each organization. Payments will automatically be deposited or debited to your new Bank of Prairie du Sac account.
Examples of automatic payments include:
- Mortgage
- Insurance (life, auto or homeowners)
- Utilities
- Telephone or cell phone
- Cable or satellite
Examples of automatic deposits include:
- Payroll
- Retirement or pension
- Social Security
- Veterans’ benefits
Step 3: Close Your Previous Account
Once your outstanding checks have cleared and direct deposits and automatic payments have been transferred to your new account, your previous account can be closed.
