Mark Ladsten Joins our Commercial & Ag Lending Teams

Growing up in Sauk Prairie, Mark is no stranger to our community, Bank of Prairie du Sac, or agriculture.  In fact, his aspirations to pursue a career in Agricultural Lending were initiated in High School when his Agriculture Instructor & FFA Advisor suggested he seek a loan to purchase pigs. The positive lending experience Mark had at Bank of Prairie du Sac sparked intrigue and interest in becoming a lender and one day working here! Mark attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and Animal Science.

After college, he was delighted to return to Sauk Prairie to live and work. He grew his agricultural knowledge and experience while working two years in sales at a local Dairy Supply, five years at an area Ag Cooperative, and nearly three years as an Agricultural Lender.

An outgoing and friendly person, Mark is proud of his longstanding history in the community and appreciates the many relationships he has built over the years. His main focus is making sure area businesses and farmers are able to achieve goals they set for themselves. He has a passion for transition planning and values the family farm legacy.

Away from the Bank, Mark is active in the community – as a member of the Sauk Prairie FFA Alumni & Supporters, participating in Chamber events, assisting with fundraising efforts for Culver Community Park, plus he has served in many leadership roles with the Wisconsin State FFA Alumni Council. When Mark’s not working or volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing their goal of operating a hobby farm.
