A Full House for Fraud Awareness

On October 15, we welcomed 47 attendees —  including 34 community members, representatives from Sauk County Health Department’s Adult Protective Services (APS), Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Sauk County, Sauk Prairie Schools Community Education, and our own team — to our “How to Protect Yourself and Others from Fraudsters” event at Bank of Prairie du Sac.

October is recognized as National Cybersecurity Month, and the turnout showed just how much our community cares about staying informed and safe. Our training room was buzzing with questions, shared experiences, and real conversations about the scams affecting our neighbors and loved ones. A heartfelt thank-you to Detective Lewis from the Sauk Prairie Police Department for joining us and sharing expert insights along with our very own Chief Information Officer, Brett Kirner.

Thank you to everyone who came, asked questions, and helped make this event so impactful. Together, we’re building a safer, smarter Sauk Prairie.

If you weren’t able to join us, stay tuned as we will be hosting additional events like this in the future. For now, we would encourage you to check out available resources related to this topic. We have named one below, plus you can find scam prevention resources for consumers on our website at https://bankpds.com/scam-protection-tools.html.
